File information
Filename:202315530.jpg
Album name:martheijnens / Flowers yellow, orange
Keywords:Plant / Saxifragaceae / Bloem / geel / oeverplant
Photonumber, location and date:202315530, Netherlands/Utrecht/Oostbroekselaan/allotment garden society "Stadion" [N 52 05 41.4 E005 09 27.0], 09-04-2023
Habitat:Streamsides, ditch verges, bogs, woodland seeps, waterside meadows and other wet places. The plant is in decline through a large part of its range because of the decrease of suitable wetland habitat.
Flowering time:March - May. It flowers very early in the year while woodland is relatively unshaded and before leaves have appeared on the trees.
Origin/distribution, remarks:Alternate-leaved golden-saxifrage is distributed across much of the cooler and wetter parts of Europe. Looks similar as C. oppositifolium but the stem is three sided in stead of four sided.
