Photonumber, location and date: | 202315529, Netherlands/Utrecht/Oostbroekselaan/allotment garden society "Stadion" [N 52 05 41.4 E005 09 27.0], 09-04-2023 |
Habitat: | Streamsides, ditch verges, bogs, woodland seeps, waterside meadows and other wet places. The plant is in decline through a large part of its range because of the decrease of suitable wetland habitat. |
Flowering time: | March - May. It flowers very early in the year while woodland is relatively unshaded and before leaves have appeared on the trees. |
Origin/distribution, remarks: | Alternate-leaved golden-saxifrage is distributed across much of the cooler and wetter parts of Europe. Looks similar as C. oppositifolium but the stem is three sided in stead of four sided. |
