Habitat:Prosopis juliflora thrives in most soils including; sandy, rocky, poor and saline soils within an altitude range of 300-1900 m. It has deep taproots which help to access sub-surface waters.
Flowering time:Mid summer - early fall.
Origin, remarks:Native to tropical America ( Mexico, South America and the Caribbean); naturalised elsewere in the tropics. Now widespread in the semi-arid areas of the world.
